With this body of work I have used a Sesame Street game to rekindle the innocence of childhood and provoke thought about self identity and societal perceptions of those who stand apart from the norm.
The square peg in a round hole is restricted of freedom; all that glitters is not gold warns that it pays to look closely before making assumptions; to be hanging on by a limb is to be outcast from safe surroundings of similarity, but it also provides the opportunity to shine; likewise, those who stand out in a crowd can often be the brightest or most golden.
Whatever the context, we are captured by the one who is not like the others.
