Imbued (2014)

‘Imbued’ is inspired by jewellery and folklore from past eras when it was common for people to hold beliefs or superstitions regarding the magical properties of adornments. In particular, gemstones and precious metals were thought to contain healing powers and the capacity to cure illness. Wearing objects for healing purposes continues today. In this collection I draw on these long-held views and offer my interpretation of this practice.
